It's been not too good for gardening this year: either too wet or too dry... and the little jets up there sure do work hard getting after it to poison my sky on a regular basis... I suppose they are disturbing the weather for some Monsanto field somewhere...

On the other hand, I count my many blessings of nine Pygmy goats of my herd, with four does about to drop more babies, 20 meat hens, and 42 new pullets of French Copper Marans, Wellsummers, Barred Rocks, Rhode Island Reds, Buff Orpingtons, and Araucanas...

Three dogs, a family of Jack rabbits, and a couple of sweet doves that roost and coo in my front garden...

And the jacketed fellow who buzzes by every so often to drink from my bird feeder...

Yah is good! :)

This is Stella, my new Nanny goat, sweet as sugar. She is as big as a house, and there has to be at least three babies up in there...

Squirrels are our biggest pest...boy they chew up plants. They don't mess with my CBD garden though...

Man, you mountain folk have to practically build a fortress around your gardens; this one dude from Montana named Tom Oar had to get the forest service to install electric fences around his little spot, with bears, wolves, coyotes, squirrels, and lots of deer to tear up his vegetables...
